Hospital Urgent Care Centre for minor illnesses and injuries in Welwyn Garden City will close its doors on a temporary basis to new patients at 10pm every day. It will reopen at 8am every morning.
This is to allow clinical staff to be redeployed overnight to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, where an increasing number of patients are being treated for COVID-19.
This decision is a temporary measure, which will be reviewed on a weekly basis.
GP appointments are still available overnight at the New QEII Urgent Care Centre if you are assessed as needing one by NHS 111.
